Merger with Shirley Hollis & Co
I am delighted to say that on 31 May 2019 we merged with Shirley Hollis & Co. Shirley has over 30 years’ experience in accountancy practice having previously been a partner in Wilkins Kennedy in Winchester.
She set up her own practice in Durrington several years ago before opening an office in Amesbury. She has now joined us in our office and brings with her the clients that she has built up over recent years. We welcome both Shirley and her clients to the Hugh Davies & Co community.
Interestingly Shirley actually started her training with me at Chequers Court back in the early 1990’s, so it is more a welcome back to her, albeit not to the same desk!
Shirley has a lot of experience with owner managed businesses and larger corporate entities within most industry sectors, including construction, agriculture, retail, manufacturing and professional services. She is particularly interested in the business advisory side of practice, from start-ups to business plans and raising funds for expansion. She likes to help clients identify their goals and be proactive in helping them to work towards them.
“Having both built up our own businesses from scratch Hugh and I fully understand the stresses and strains involved and the multiple hats you need to wear as a business owner. Like most business owners, no-one taught us all the other skills necessary to run a successful business. So, we learned along the way. Made a few mistakes and learned better.
The good news for our clients is that they don’t have to go it alone. We have a great team here who are passionate about helping people. We can help take the stress out of running a business and help our clients develop all aspects of their business so that they can not only achieve their goals but, mostly importantly, have the time to enjoy it.”
Shirley and I are excited about working closely together to enhance these services for our existing and future clients.
